MEMBERSHIP in CAPT/ACAP: The Canadian Association of Piano Technicians began as an organization of Canadian piano technicians mainly in western Canada which has grown to include members throughout the vast geographical area of Canada. Even from its earliest beginnings the administration and members of CAPT/ACAP connected with the piano technical communities beyond Canada, and since the Internet has facilitated easier worldwide communication; events such as conventions and other gatherings have often included presenters and attendees from the United States and other parts of the world.

- CAPT/ACAP administration endeavoured to help members stay “connected” with other members through virtual events (technicals and even musical presentations) during the Covid19 pandemic – 2020 – 2022 when in-person group events were restricted at times. With travel becoming easier following relaxing of the Canadian pandemic restrictions, the events of 2023 included both online and in-person gatherings at several Canadian locations. As we move forward online and in-person technician gatherings focusing on ongoing education and fellowship for piano technicians will continue.
